"Cooking with Khmer Chef Saroun"
We pick you up at your hotel and start with a visit to a large local produce market where you experience the energy of the local people doing business, shopping and buying food.
Experience the amazing variety of locally produced fresh vegetables, fruits and so much more.
Touring the food stalls, our chef spends time with you talking about the how the produce is used for cooking and the many other uses of the interesting herbs, seasonal fruits and vegetables on display.
We return to our kitchen to cut, chop, mix and stir your way through 4 traditional Khmer dishes. Sit down for a luncheon,enjoy a glass of wine and the fruits of your labour.
Some recipes that we may include are:
• Fresh aromatic Banana Flower Salad - a delight to make
• Creamy Fish Amok with a rice and black sesame pyramid
Others are based on what is in season.
*Vegetarians or vegan are catered for if the Chef is advised prior to the class
Meet up at 9.30 am with a late morning break and finishing around 1:30 pm.
Cooking Class is $59 2 or more per person
One person add $10
*We can find a guide to translate if required (a fee applies).
